Qi Hu is a postdoctoral fellow at the School of Electronic Science and Engineering, Nanjing University, where he works under the supervision of Professor Yijun Feng, having previously completed his Ph.D. in Electronic Science and Technology at Nanjing University and his B.S. in Communication Engineering at the Communication University of China under Professor Jianxun Su. His research focuses on programmable metasurface and dynamic electromagnetic control, tunable, reconfigurable, and programmable metamaterial and metasurface design with emphasis on tuning mechanism, efficiency, multi-channel independence, and frequencies, advancing algorithm-assisted inverse design for high-efficiency multi-functional metasurfaces and realizing dual-band, dual-polarized, and full-space operation antennas. He has also explored low-scattering metamaterials and metasurfaces, improving bandwidth, absorption rate, thickness, and weight in absorbers and tunable absorbers, and developing intelligent platforms for smart scattering control through programmable metamaterial absorbers and phase-tuning metasurfaces. Qi Hu has published peer-reviewed works such as An intelligent programmable omni-metasurface, Dynamically generating diverse multi-beams with on-demand polarizations through space-time coding metasurfaces, A low-scattering reconfigurable metasurface-based reflectarray with high polarization isolation, On-demand dynamic polarization meta-transformer, and Broadband wireless communication with space-time-varying polarization-converting metasurface. His research output includes nine first-author journal papers and eleven conference papers, accumulating more than 740 citations by 599 documents with an h-index of 14 across 33 indexed publications. He has earned recognition through awards such as Excellent Doctoral Dissertation, Young Scientist Honourable Mention Award, Young Scholar Award, National Intelligent Metasurface Technology Innovation Competition Second Prize, and multiple best paper awards at international conferences.
