Prof. Wei Li is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Opto-Electronics, Shanxi University, and a leading researcher in quantum optics, quantum information science, and advanced photonic materials, with extensive expertise spanning experimental and theoretical quantum networks, quantum sensing, nonlinear optics, and gravitational-wave-related photonic technologies; he completed his doctoral, master’s, and bachelor’s training in physics and quantum optics at Shanxi University and subsequently conducted postdoctoral research in materials science and engineering at the University of Arizona, where he strengthened interdisciplinary approaches combining quantum photonics and engineered materials; his work focuses on the development and characterization of narrow-band entangled photon sources and their application in robust, scalable, and ultra-precise quantum-enhanced sensing platforms for ultrasensitive radio-frequency signal detection, distributed target tracking, and noninvasive material identification; Dr. Li has authored around thirty peer-reviewed publications in leading international journals including Laser & Photonics Reviews, Physical Review Letters, Physical Review X, Physical Review A, Optics Letters, Optics Express, and Science China, reflecting sustained contributions to frontier quantum photonics research.
