Dr. Canan Nebigil is a distinguished pharmacologist and Research Director at CNRS whose work focuses on G protein-coupled receptor signaling in cardiovascular biology, cardiometabolic regulation, and cardio-oncology; her research pioneered the discovery of key roles for serotonin 5-HT2B receptors and prokineticin pathways in heart development, cardiac repair, angiogenesis, and metabolic homeostasis, while also advancing translational strategies including PKR1 agonists, biomarker discovery for chemotherapy-induced cardiotoxicity, and innovative 3D cardiac organoid–tumor models that bridge fundamental receptor biology with therapeutic development in cardiovascular disease and precision oncology.
