Dr. Bojana Vasiljević is a Research Associate at the Institute of Nuclear Sciences “Vinča”, National Institute of the Republic of Serbia, University of Belgrade, working in the Laboratory for Radiation Chemistry and Physics “Gamma”, where her research focuses on microwave-assisted chemistry, advanced synthetic methodologies, and the development of functional nanomaterials with tailored physicochemical properties. She holds a PhD in Chemistry and has extensive expertise in microwave processing using single-mode and multi-mode reactors, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, FTIR spectroscopy, chromatography techniques, and organic chemical synthesis. Her scientific work spans the synthesis of metal phthalocyanines, bismuth vanadate, carbon quantum dots, and doped carbon-based nanomaterials, with particular emphasis on photocatalytic degradation of organic pollutants, hydrogen production, and the influence of gamma irradiation on material characteristics. Dr. Vasiljević has actively contributed to national, bilateral, and international research projects, collaborated with leading European research institutions, and participated in educational activities through laboratory teaching and academic coordination. She is a member of the Serbian Chemical Society and has authored high-impact journal articles and book chapters in the fields of green chemistry, nanotechnology, and photocatalysis.
