Dr. Reem Khalid Abu-Shawish is an Associate Professor at Qatar University’s College of Education, specializing in educational sciences. She holds a Doctor of Education from Exeter University, an M.A. in Applied Linguistics and English Language Teaching from St Mary’s University College, and a B.A. in English Language from Qatar University. Her doctoral thesis focused on schoolteachers’ involvement in decision-making in Qatar. Dr. Abu-Shawish has held various academic and administrative roles, including Chair of the Department of Educational Sciences and Assistant Dean for Student Affairs. She is an active member of several professional associations, a reviewer for academic journals, and has received the Sheikh Faisal Award for Educational Research.
